The much anticipated book club discussion of Michelle Obama's Becoming is here! On Tuesday 2/12 we will be discussing this book and if you have not yet had a chance to read it, try the audiobook as it is read by Michelle Obama. Why a Book ClubI love a good book. I enjoy reading biographies and books written by journalists on a mission for the right story. Interests in these areas are books written by authors with a diverse perspective or telling the narratives of diverse perspectives. I enjoy reading these types of books because it helps to reinforce the idea that though we are diverse in cultures, languages, physical attributes,etc; we experience so much of the same things in our lives. We also can learn a lot from each other so I enjoy a book with a message as well. Archives
